Corporate History
In 1985, after 15 years of teaching in the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University, Dr. Sielken exchanged his duties as Professor for those of an Adjunct Professor and formed Sielken, Inc., to do statistical research and consulting primarily in the area of quantitative health risk assessment.
In 1996, Sielken, Inc., became a subsidiary of Jellinek, Schwartz & Connolly, Inc., (JSC) which was headquartered in Washington, D.C., and provided integrated science-based advocacy and management solutions to business and industry.
On January 20, 1998, JSC was acquired by the International Technology Corporation (IT), a leading engineering and environmental firm which became The IT Group, Inc., in 1999.
In 2001, Dr. Sielken left The IT Group, resigned his position as Vice President of JSC, purchased the assets of Sielken, Inc., from The IT Group, and formed Sielken and Associates Consulting, Inc. All of the personnel who were members of Sielken, Inc., became members of Sielken & Associates Consulting, Inc.
