            An interdisciplinary effort  is often critical for effective litigation support, risk assessment, and statistical consulting.  At Sielken & Associates Consulting, Inc. (S&A), we envision ourselves as one member of that team effort.

            The major emphasis at S&A, is highly specialized, personalized service.  Our primary expertise is the development of state-of-the-art statistical analyses and risk characterizations for specific substances and situations.  Such risk characterizations go well beyond default linear, upper-bound dose-response models and oversimplified deterministic representations of exposure.  We emphasize using all of the available information. 

            Our general statistical expertise often helps solve problems that arise secondarily to our primary ligation support and risk characterization activities.  For example, we have developed statistical procedures for selecting test plaintiffs, designed sampling strategies, estimated probability distributions for exposure parameters, etc.

            We either have the computer software to meet specific risk characterization objectives or can utilize a large in-house software library and tool kit to build the desired software.

            Professional training of client personnel, briefs for key attorneys and decision makers, representation in public forums, expert testimony, participation in professional conferences and workshops, and representation in federal and state regulatory interactions are important elements of support from S&A.
